Tour #1

Today was our first tour date for the University Dance Company. We visited the University of Northampton. It was very different performing in a new environment, but a good experience. We had to make adjustments to the costume in the performance space as the floor was too slippery. This meant we had to make adjustments to the movement we was performing also, especially in Kirsty Russell's work called 'Waiting For' as the jumps wold cause us to slip and potentially injur ourselves.

In the Technical rehearsal we was able to watch the dancers at the University of Northampton company work. It was lovely to watch other students, like myself, perform repertory work in a company setting.

When the performance came we was all excited to peerform to a completely new audience, this gave us the desire to improve and perform to the best of our ability. Throughout the performance we noticed that the floor was still difficult to move on due to our knee pads sliding across the performance space. Overall, it was a good experience, next tour location is Lewishum college.
